As we look to further strengthen our Player Development programs, starting in the fall of 2023, we want to begin an Academy system for girls and boys born in 2017.  They would start working together a year before they can play a game in SJSL / SJGSL.  A few things in explanation:

a.  Several clubs have been moving this way, to create more enhanced pre travel programs, so we are in catch up mode.
b.  The training sessions will be trainer led.
c.  We will also need 2017 coaches and would like them identified prior to the start of the Academy Program.  If you are interested in coaching a 2017 team (games would actually start in the Fall of 2024) please send an email to the Club email address.
d.  This program would be perfect for players who are looking for the next challenge beyond Recreation soccer.  With that said, a player could participate in both Rec and Academy.
e.  SJGSL is already planning two soccer festivals for 2017 age group players in the fall of 2023, and our Academy teams would be entered.
