Hello all. The Haddon Heights Soccer Club Board of Directors met on Thursday last week. We hope everyone is safe and healthy, and we have a few things to share:
1. South Jersey Soccer League has announced cancellation of the Spring season. That was predictable. The Board has decided to grant full refunds to the players who joined in the Spring. 8 players joined for the Spring. We also decided not to offer any refunds for the players who joined in the fall. The reason is the vast majority of our expenses are incurred in the Fall, including team registration, player registration, coach registration, insurance, trainer fees, and referee fees. For the Spring joiners, your refund will arrive in the next 2 - 3 weeks.
2. South Jersey Girls Soccer League is holding out hope to play some games in this Spring into the Summer. We had one new player on a Girl's team for the Spring. We will refund her family the fee for the Spring as well. And we will keep you informed of the status of the League.
3. We do want our players who are interested to play Travel in the Fall 2020 Spring 2021 seasons to register. That will give us the ability to gauge interest for each age group for the Fall. We aren't sure if there will be a Fall season, but we want to start the process now. Recently, the registration system was updated. The good news is that if you have registered players over the last few years for any program, their information is still resident in our system. Here are instructions on how to register for Travel Soccer tryouts:
b. Select Registration at the top menu bar.
c. Select birth year you are registering your player for and hit "Register Now."
d. That will bring you to a login page for Sports Engine. If you have an account from previous years, scroll down to "Already have an account? Log in here" and log in. Your player's information should be resident. If you are new to the Club, create an account.
e. Once logged in, follow the instructions to register your player.
f. Please note that there is no fee to register. If your player is selected for a team (timing is tbd of course), you will be asked to pay at that time. Fees for 2020 - 2021 will be $280 (covers both Fall and Spring). We are offering a $25 discount for the second member of a family who joins a travel team, and a $100 discount for the third member of the family who joins a travel team. 4. We are holding off on opening registration for Fall Rec and Tots programs to monitor the status of the virus Once we feel confident we will have a fall program, we will open up registration...
