We hope this email finds you safe and healthy. Here is the latest we can share on our current situation due to COVID-19:
a.
US Club Soccer is still using 4/12 as the date they would lift
suspension of play. As a reminder US Club is the governing body for
both SJSL and SJGSL. We will take our lead for both Travel and Rec from
US Club. Of course Governor Murphy plays a part here as well, and he
would override any decision made by US Club.
b. This week both SJGSL and SJSL also suspended play until 4/12. We knew that would happen because of the US Club suspension.
So, where does that leave us? This is our current direction for the Soccer Club:
a.
If the suspension is lifted on 4/12, we will start Tots and Spring Rec
clinic on 4/18 and Pre Travel on 4/21. That would actually put us one
week behind schedule.
b.
If US Club extends suspension beyond 4/12, or the Governor extends
Shelter in Place beyond 4/18, we will cancel all rec and pre-travel
programs. We will provide a full refund for these programs. This is probably the most likely scenario we will encounter.
c. The Travel programs will take direction from SJGLS and SJSL.
d. We will need to determine a plan for tryouts for the 2020 - 2021 Travel Programs.
If you would like a refund now for the Spring Rec and Pre-Travel programs, please respond to the club e-mail address and we will refund.
